Looking for something fun and refreshing to serve around the pool? I love offering a boozy popsicle, especially in push-pop form!
Last summer, I was honored to be featured in Detroit’s Hour Magazine for my Rose Popsicles, this year I have tried a few more varieties and I loved the way the Aperol Spritz turned out! Aperol smells and taste like Campari but has less alcohol. It tends to have a bitter flavor but mixed with a little bubbly, and club soda it cuts the bitterness and is extremely refreshing.
This drink definitely triggers all the feels! Every time I have one of these cocktails I reminisce about a sunny day eating fresh pasta, enjoying an Aperol Spritz in Italy. This beverage is perfect in it’s normal cocktail form but to keep your drink extra cold you can try them in their ice cube state. I love these fun, extra large ice cube trays from Food52. It’s the perfect brunch cocktail, and freezes very well. How beautiful would a brunch with coral flowers, white and coral stripes tablecloths and a signature drink with the unmistakable vibrant orange color? Here’s a toast Summer perfection!
Fill a large wine glass halfway with ice Add Aperol Add Prosecco Add Sparking water Stir Pour into Push-Pop Containers or into Ice Cube Trays Add garnish The traditional garnish is the orange wedge but I love adding mint.
You can make this drink stronger and lighter very easily - just be sure to give yourself more freeze time if you add more alcohol! Aperol Spritz Push-Pops
